STUART HEATH

Stuart has been appointed by federal and state courts to oversee reorganizations and liquidations, including a $93M portfolio containing more than 375 mortgage-backed loans and properties. His experience as a receiver includes multi-family complexes, office buildings, motels, retail stores, mobile home parks, auto repair facilities, restaurants, working farms, condominium complexes, single-family residences, recreational land, and vacant land. He has more than 25 years of experience as a real estate broker and 35 years of experience as a real estate and business attorney. As a real estate broker and an attorney, Stuart has been involved in all facets of real estate transactions for owners, buyers, sellers and creditors. Stuart’s work has ranged from large-scale international real estate development to single-family residences. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors for the Northwest Multiple Listing Service, the Northwest Independent Brokers Association, and the Turnaround Management Association. Previously, he served on the Boards of Advisors for a development company and an affordable housing company. He also served as Chair of the Board of Directors and as Chief Executive Officer for several turn-around businesses and a large nonprofit organization. Stuart has a BA from Whitman College and a degree in law (Cum Laude) from Seattle University.

 

BILL WEISFIELD

Bill has more than 40 years of experience setting strategic direction for real estate assets and operating companies, turning around troubled companies, and creating corporate work-out plans. He has led the development of commercial office buildings, condominiums, a marina, and floating homes. Bill has also directed strategy for shopping centers, raw land, a corporate industrial park, restaurants, and a publicly traded company with over 100 retail stores. He was responsible for the liquidation of an $85M portfolio containing more than 90 real estate partnerships and also for the sale of one of the largest amusement parks in the United States. He has served as President and CEO of multiple companies with revenues in excess of $100M and with 475 – 500 employees. A former Chair of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle, he has also been Chair of the Advisory Board for Harris Bank (a division of the Bank of Montreal) and Ben Franklin Savings and Loan. He is currently on the Downtown Seattle Association Board of Directors and on the boards of multiple privately held real estate construction companies. Bill earned his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Washington.

 

LENNART BENTSEN

Len is an accomplished hotel executive with more than 20 years of success at all levels of hotel operations.  In the hospitality sector, he was recently President of a management company overseeing a $125 million hotel portfolio comprised of 10 hotels in secondary and tertiary markets; each a multi-million dollar business with more than 300 employees combined.  His experience includes full service and resort properties flagged with Hilton, Best Western, Coast and IHG hotel brands. Communication, continuous improvement and business management are among Len’s primary strengths.  He develops effective solutions through financial analysis and planning, human resources and operations change management, supply management, market analysis and business development.  Throughout his career, he has integrated ever-changing technologies such as data networks, VoIP/PBX and surveillance systems, data storage and security, energy management systems and business software packages.  In recent years, Len has also been very active in areas of real estate including land use and acquisition, architecture and design, capital planning, remodeling and new construction, financial analysis and hotel franchise agreements. Len maintains a broad network of contacts with key hotel brand representatives, managers, lenders, real estate owners and developers.  He serves on the Board of Directors for an economic development organization and a newly formed and funded tourism association.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Colorado Technical University, an AS hospitality degree and Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation from the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and Cornell University certifications in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management.

 

JADE ATTAR

Operations

Jade brings extensive receivership and real estate experience to her role as Operations Manager. She has been an integral part of the Elliott Bay Asset Solutions team since she joined the company in 2012. Jade is a licensed real estate broker and oversees the security, stabilization, repairs, maintenance, and marketing of properties. For each property, she coordinates due diligence, insurance, taxes, property managers, vendors and transaction closing. She also oversees banking and bonds for the company and schedules and processes routine court reports and hearings. Jade holds a degree in Marketing Management from Bellevue College.

 

BRITT HEATH

Land Use Planning

Britt is an experienced land use planner with expertise in environmental issues, land development, and governmental processes including zoning, platting, critical areas, boundary issues, and growth management. She has experience working with all aspects of real estate development and governmental agencies, having previously worked as a Project Manager for a real estate developer and as a Director of Land Use Planning with a leading civil engineering firm. She provides land-use expertise on all Elliott Bay Asset Solutions real estate receiverships by reviewing and managing environmental concerns, zoning issues, conditional use permits, surveying matters, permitting status and feasibility analysis—thus ensuring that all issues are identified and that the real property is positioned to obtain maximum value. Britt holds a BA in Geography from the University of Washington.

DAVE RINNING

Dave provides real estate owners and lenders with timely, cost-effective solutions to non-performing and distressed real estate assets. His 10 years of experience as a state court-appointed receiver includes receiverships for condominium developments, multi-family complexes, resort properties, office buildings, shopping centers, industrial buildings, self-storage facilities, retail stores, restaurants, single-family residences, vacant land, and environmentally impacted properties. He has been appointed by the federal bankruptcy court to advise on reorganizations and liquidations, including a $600M portfolio containing more than 70 properties. Dave has more than 30 years of experience as a commercial real estate broker, in which he has been involved in all facets of real estate transactions for buyers, sellers, lenders, and creditors. Dave has acted as a referee in state court partition actions and has represented public agencies and NRDA habitat developers in the identification and acquisition of special use sites. Dave studied mechanical engineering at Mid-Essex Technical College in the United Kingdom.

 

SCOTT LOCKERT

Scott brings to Elliott Bay Asset Solutions three decades of experience conducting and managing the analysis and remediation of environmentally impacted properties. His skills with complicated properties are built from a decade working with environmental insurance, financial assurance, and claims management. He has conducted financial analysis and cost modeling as well as environmental risk assessments on hundreds of transactions throughout the United States and internationally. Some of America’s largest corporations have trusted Scott in oversight of costs and strategic cost control for complex environmental liabilities in the mining, microchip, paper, wood, and petroleum industries. He has interfaced with legal, real estate, and governmental agencies to create public policy facilitating acceptance and adoption of environmental credit use. As a nationally recognized expert in the development of Natural Resource Damage markets, he directed the first-ever ecological credits transaction between the Federal government and a large municipality in support of a settlement. Scott is a Washington State Licensed Geologist and Hydrogeologist and a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

 

BLESSIE GOCO

Finance

Blessie is an accomplished accounting professional who brings 20 years of experience as a controller, risk manager, and senior corporate accountant to Elliott Bay Asset Solutions. Her expertise includes accounting system setup, budgeting and forecasting, as well as management information systems and financial statement reporting. She provides oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgets, and tax matters for Elliott Bay Asset Solutions receiverships. Blessie earned her B.A. in Accounting from Central Washington Unversity and her MBA from the University of Washington. She is also an Adjunct Accounting Professor at Seattle Central College and is a State of Washington Certified Public Accountant.
